Operation--Potty Party!!

Well we had a bit of a celebration today! Miles went #2. It was not easy, but he still went!

Ice cream all around at 9:30 in the morning!! He even got to watch his favorite cartoon (Chuggington). This is a big deal in this house lately. For the past 3 weeks the kids are down to 1 hour of kid shows. There will be the occasional Food Network show on 1-2 days a week, but for the most part even Matt won't turn on ESPN as soon as he walks in the door. First thing in the morning either I turn on the TV to the Music Choice ( no videos, just music) or I turn the computer on and fire up Pandora.com and have Amara choose the music genre of the day. The kids do love their John Mayer radio station!

Back to the ice cream social....... Miles decided to even share some with his sister. How sweet!! He got 3 M&M's, 3 stickers and the strawberry ice cream on a cone! He is living it up and all before 10 AM. I hope he remembers all the goodies he gets. so the next time won't be so difficult

Cold Stone anyone???

Miles won't sleep. He is either:
a) teething
b) sick
c) both a and b
d) neither
e) likes to party all night
I have been going on auto-pilot these last few days. Not. Fun. At. All. Stressed to the max! The bad news is I am a total stress eater. The good news is I have not given in! Even when my loving husband called me tonight on the way home from running errands ( buying broccoli, chicken and turkey bacon). The conversation went something as follows.
Matt: Hey Marcia...I'm not trying to sabotage you or anything, but I am near Cold Stone..do you want me to stop?!!?!?
Me: NO!!!
Matt: Ok, bye. Just thought I would check.
This was a pretty big step for me. A month ago, I would have been all over that!! If you don't know..Cold Stone Creamery is just the best ice cream ever invented! Take a peek: www.coldstonecreamery.com/index.html
They do have some "healthier indulgences" options to choose from, including a Sinless Sans Fat-non fat no sugar added ice ceam ( um, no thanks!). If I am going to eat ice cream give me the real deal please!! If you ever get a chance to go there, I highly recommend it..in moderation of course!!
My 4 year old is learning what a "cheat" meal is but does not really like the word cheat. She wants to call our next cheat meal a fun meal instead--they sure do learn fast at this age! She's still a tad confused on why her cheat still has to include a side a broccoli though. Hmmmm, how to explain that one.......
