I am looking into starting a compost pile ( is that what it's called??) but I don't know where to begin. There is so much information on the Internet that it makes my brain hurt. If anybody knows where to send me I would appreciate it!!

hey sis, one of the guys who works here has a pile and he is all organice like you are. he said for his he uses finely chopped straw or leaves for the brown matter. he says you also need some form of nitrogen and for that he uses grass (you can also use manure but he doesn'y like that), mix the two together and dampen, not soak and put in a covered garbage pail. he says you can also use kitchen scraps like veggies, but no meat, fat or oils. he says to make sure everything is chopped up because if for example you leave the leaves unshredded they take to long to compost. i will get a website from him when he finds it.
ok here are two websites he recommends
